"Whispers of the Heart" is fewer than fifty pages, yet the word images live on in your soul long after the last page is turned. I find myself returning again and again to savor the thoughts, the spare but beautiful ponderings, of this poet’s heart. As another reviewer said, “... you will reconnect with the deeper issues within you and the little things around you.” I agree, but would add, “you will reconnect with the world around you, perhaps those things unseen until now.”

With profound changes facing our country and its culture, Clay Remington speaks of light. His concise volume of poetry,"Whispers of the Heart", is filled with those things which faith inspires, love of family, country, the natural world and the creatures that share it with us. Remington's poetry evokes and celebrates the good and the true in language that's arresting and beautiful.

-Rev. H. Ivor Kraft, clergyman, professor, and author of "Today We Encounter a Hard Saying; The Lord, the Scripture, and Us."

Clay Remington’s recent books: 'The Soul’s Sidewalk' and 'Whispers of the Heart' are reverent meditations on affairs of the heart, faith, humility, the uncertainties of life.  His words delicately paint nature and pose questions about spirituality, love, and worthiness.  Often there seems to be an abstract blend between human love and the love of nature as he writes: “…The storm is dampened and spent passion, a lover’s lingering fragrance, and the freshening breeze is infused, an inseparable essence of sage and steel, of lavender, rock and river reed.” And in his love poem: The Bird: “…She is worn smooth, like a river pebble, never knowing the worries of one day in another, and quietly seeking a narrow way…”  If you are seeking a soulful rest from your busy schedule, Clay Remington’s poetry offers a quiet, concise, and thoughtful place to reflect of life’s natural beauty and the importance of love and faith.

Clay Remington's writing is an intimate look at the questions of life...affirming; pondering things here...candid there...dealing with conflicting feelings.  It will help you reconnect with the deeper issues within you and the little things around you.
